Isabella 1 year

So a lot has happened since the last blog. We went to Sweden to visit family, Bella started walking (very recently) and she had her first birthday.

The Sweden trip was a great success. Being around so many people all the time really made her personality blossom. She's now quite the social butterfly.

She got a walker (shaped like a lion) for her birthday but after trying it a few times she decided she didn't need it and is now walking around (carefully). I have a video up on facebook if you haven't already seen it. She still prefers crawling but she's walking more and more every day.

Here are some photos from the birthday party. I made a gluten free cake so she could have some. She liked it.

Bella 10 months (almost)

Wow how time flies. Isabella will be 10 months on the 4th.

Lance, Devon, Bella and I all went to the park yesterday. Bella decided to show off her standing up skills. We got a video of it.

She is now "cruising" (moving herself around on two feet while holding on to things) around the

apartment.

She likes to talk too. She says a variety of syllables; ba-ba, ma-ma, da-da.

She likes playing peak-a-boo, reading (and eating) books and taking things out of boxes (not putting them back in).

Next month we are all traveling to Sweden to visit family and friends.

Bella 9 months

So Bella is now 9 months. Today we went to Leah and Norm's Bridal Shower. We got to dress up in one of our many pretty dresses. Here are some pics.

Today Bella also stood up all by herself. She was holding onto my knee and then she let go and stood there for a couple of seconds before she decided to sit down.

She has also started to play peak-a-boo and point at things.

Here's a pic of Bella from this past week end. She was all dressed up for the big occasion of Lance's sister's wedding.

Isabella update - first cold

So on Sunday Isabella will be 8 months old. Crazy how time flies. Right now she is dealing with her first cold. Not fun. We took her to the doctor yesterday and she just has the cold virus, no infections (ear , throat etc). She does have a not-so-good-sounding cough but her spirits seem to be high today. She slept better last night than the night before.

You can now see both her 2 lower front teeth clearly. Her crawling is also getting much better. She's moving around much more fluently so the gates are up.

I haven't mentioned her speech but she is quite a talker when she wants to be. She can say dada, papa, and mama (mostly mama when she is crying). She also enjoys singing with mommy. We usually do call and answer songs and she's sill very found of her hand drum... actually she bangs on everything.

She has also started to pull herself up to a standing position but she is still very wobbly and has to hold on tight.
